Hello and Happy New Year!

Blogging in 2015 didn’t quiet go to plan. <Insert excuses here> But I’m here anew and full of good intentions to show you all the lovely flowery plans I have for 2016. But first a quick photo round up of some 2015 Wedding Season highlights! Enjoy! Sally x x

Celebrity Bridal Bouquets…

I have a question for you this evening…Which celebrity bridal design is your favorite?

This is a selection i found on google…Have I missed your favorite?

What did/would you have in your wedding bouquet?

Roses, Retro & Vintage Glitz.

How to beat the post Christmas/January blues?

Get dolled up, head to the Winter Gardens in Ilkley and attend the B.E.A.Utiful Wedding of Dione and Paul! I must confess to being 100% biased as i’m lucky enough to call this stunning lady my friend (and godmother to my children), but this Wedding was gorgeous! Dione is known for being…well Dione! She knows what she likes and thankfully she has excellent taste! (esp in friends obviously!!)

So last week I gave you a little visual taster of the day and now here’s the rest…..Photo’s all courtesy of the lovely Donna at www.facebook.com/clickclickbang.

Dione and Paul chose the Winter Gardens at Ilkley, an amazing back drop for their ceremony and reception. Dione has a love of Retro/Vintage details but also wanted to add some glitz in a nod to the theatrical venue and the winter season. We hung ditzy print bunting next to masses of fairy lights to create a magical effect that lasted right throughout the day.

The bride looked stunning in her Audrey Hepburn inspired, ballerina length ivory dress, birdcage veil and Tiffany (swoon!) glasses. The couple chose a mix of pastel colours for the flowers throughout the day but decided to keep the bridal bouquet in creams and pinks which complemented the girly retro look perfectly. Walking down the aisle to Elvis – Love Me Tender started the day off in a fantastic style.

Dione’s bouquet of Sweet Avalanche, Avalanche Roses, stunning Peonies and beautiful blousy Lisianthus.

To mark the ceremony area we created two massed round pedestals of stunning Sweet Avalanche, Avalanche, Cool Water and Aqua Roses with frothy Gypsophelia and Eucalyptus nestled in between.

For table centerpieces we created mini hand tied posies for over 100 jars, bottles and vases tied with cream and gold ribbons. Some jars were dipped in gold glitter to add a touch of winter sparkle. The tables were finished with wooden heart place names and Tunnocks Teacake favours and the quirky touch of hand stamped heart-shaped newspaper confetti. Vases, jars and bottles were placed all over the venue. Flowers, Flowers, Flowers everywhere being one of Dione’s first requests and I do believe she wasn’t disappointed.

We also created personalised ‘Pearls of Wisdom’ guest book tags which allowed guests to leave their best piece of advice for the newly weds.

We then danced the night away! In the flat shoes I was SO glad to have taken with me. A truly beautiful and personal day for this stunning bride, her adoring groom and this Florist/Friend or should that be Friend/Florist?!

Rustic Twiggs and Teal

Today I bring you some images from the beautiful wedding of Liz and Neil.

Liz’s rustic style hand tied bouquet of Avalanche Roses, Veronica, Lisianthus and Hypericum looked fantastic against her ivory gown. The wedding was held at Oxenhope Parish Church and we filled galvanised buckets  with blue hydrangea and a mixture of garden style flowers and foliage which were displayed along the aisle.

Vases of Gladioli, Eucalyptus and Avalanche roses framed the alter during the ceremony and were moved across to Houldsworth House, Halifax – to decorate the room whilst guests enjoyed the wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Tall vases filled with contorted Willow looked magical in the centre of each table and lit up with fairy lights for the evening party. Mirrored plates, tealights and teal scatter crystals complimented the matching teal chair bows and ribbons tied to the favours. Cute cookie cutters (for women) and traditional whisky miniatures (for men). Rustic hearts and ginger bread table numbers added the personal finishing touches that made this elegant rustic wedding a very lovely affair!
